Sariska National Park, located at a distance of around
thirty-five kilometers from the city of Alwar is a favorite

Gum Karaya, Gular, Gugal, Neem and Kadam. Among the
species of animals that are found here, Leopard, Caracal,
Cheetal or Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Wild Pig, Nilgai
or Blue Bull, Langur, Jackal, Hyena, Porcupine, Jungle
Cat, Mongoose and Hare are the prominent ones. Partridge,
Bulbul, Parakeet, Bee Eater, Paradise Fly Catcher, Painted
Spur Fowl, Green Pigeon, Brown Fish Owl, Collared Scops
Owl, Golden Oriole, Woodpecker and Stone Curlew make
for the bird community at Sariska. A few migratory fowl
including Black Necked Storks, Painted Storks, Pelicans,
Flamingoes, Brahminy Ducks, Bar Headed Geese and Spoon
Bills can also be spotted during winter season.
